CLA Snapshot Day at UCLA

UCLA Library joined libraries across California to gather a snapshot of library uses on October 4.

We found that 19,715 people walked into libraries across the UCLA campus and 12,753 visited us virtually by accessing our web site.  7,274 items were checked out, 915 course reserves were used, and 524 items were requested on inter-library loan from other libraries.  Digital collections were accessed 1,218 times and 4,707 items were retrieved from the Library’s digital collections.  Licensed databases were accessed 1,638 times with 7,627 items retrieved for use. 1,339 reference questions were answered in person and 310 remotely through email, web, text, and telephone.  249 individuals attended instruction sessions.  Overall there were 214,718 uses of the UCLA Library on snapshot day.
