*Update: This workshop has been cancelled. Be on the lookout for a similar workshop next fall quarter!

Tuesday, June 5, 10 am – 12 pm, Biomedical Library Classroom (12-077X CHS)
If you conduct research in the sciences, you are probably collecting data of some sort, but have you thought about how you should be organizing, preserving, and managing that data? With many funders now mandating data management plans and data sharing, researchers need to know how to deal with their data now more than ever.
Please join us to learn how to use and manage your data more effectively in this hands-on workshop. You’ll learn how to use the web-based DMP Tool to create a data management plan that meets funder requirements, what metadata standards are and why you should use them, best practices for organizing your data, and more.
This workshop is open to UCLA students, staff, and faculty. Seating is limited; please RSVP at http://goo.gl/qyM1s. Questions? Please contact Lisa Federer. You can also find information about this event on Facebook.
