Stress-busters during Tenth Week and Finals

Stressed about finals? Stop by the Powell Library Building and the Charles E. Young Research Library during tenth week and finals for some relaxing, stress-busting activities.

At Powell, spend a few minutes with a registered therapy dog from the UCLA Medical Center. Research has shown that petting an animal brings about physiological signs of relaxation such as decreased blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate, Presented in partnership with UCLA People-Animal Connection, the dogs will be in two group study rooms on the first floor from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday-Friday, June 7-8, and Monday-Wednesday, June 11-13.

At the Research Library, UCLA Fitwell will offer two-hour, drop-in yoga sessions on Monday-Wednesday, June 11-13, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. No reservations are necessary; participants can stop by anytime during any session and stay as long as they’d like. There will be a few yoga mats available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. The sessions will be in the first-floor lobby, between the Lobby Gallery and the central stairwell.
