Jade Alburo, Librarian for Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Religion at UCLA, recently received a Florence Tan Moeson Fellowship to do research in the Asian Reading Room of the Library of Congress. In her proposal, she said that she would look at works in the Cebuano language and explore what the vernacular literature says about Cebuano culture. This presentation reports on her discoveries during her two-week research fellowship.
