Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles 1945-1980

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles 1945-1980, is a $10 million dollar art exhibition put together by grants from the Getty to bring attention to Los Angeles and the huge impact it made in artistic expression.

Bringing together 60 cultural institutions from San Diego to Santa Barbara and over to Palm Springs, you will be seeing art, movies, performances that have to be seen. If you missed this, you will miss what LA has been and will continue to be for generations to come.

UCLA and ART

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

UCLA is surrounded by many museums, art galleries, theaters and movies. There is so much for the student to choose from and most are free. Events sponsored by UCLA are either free or reduced for students.

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and see some art, listen to music, dance and go see a flick! And then blog, Facebook and twitter about it and mention UCLA! Fight, Fight, Fight!

From 1992 to 1996 Towell was Powell to many students. A canvas and aluminum tent structure painted yellow and white with exposed fasteners to keep it up.

The structure was at the bottom of Janns steps between the Students Activities Center and the dance building.
