First Annual Carved Pumpkin Contest

Bring your already-carved pumpkin to College Library on Thursday, October 29, for a new contest in which six students will win prizes. Your fellow students will be your judges.

Come vote on your fellow students’ artistic efforts until 5 p.m.; enjoy some cookies and apple cider while you check out the pumpkins.

Contest rules:

  • Only UCLA students are allowed to enter the contest.
  • Bring your already carved pumpkin to the Powell Library
    Rotunda by 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 29.
  • Bring a small placard with the name/title of your pumpkin
    and your contact information. No putrid pumpkins allowed!
  • Voting will take place Thursday October 29 between 10 a.m.
    and 5 p.m. Polls will close promptly at 5 p.m.
  • The winners will be announced at noon on Friday, October 30.
  • The six students who receive the most votes will win prizes.
  • You must pick up your entry before 5 p.m. on Friday. 
  • No entries will be accepted after 10 a.m., once the voting begins.
  • No carving will be done in the library.
