Featured Resource: DynaMed

dynamed.jpgDynaMed is the physician-created, point of care resource providing evidence-based summaries for over 3,000 topics. Drugs, conditions, and medical procedures are covered in summaries relevant to all health care professionals. Each summary is clinically organized into sections providing etiology, diagnosis, prevention, prognosis, treatment options, and patient care handouts. DynaMed is written and edited by practicing physicians who monitor journals and systematic evidence review databases for new evidence. Content is updated daily, and added content is ranked based on the strength of the supporting evidence. In addition to viewing DynaMed content online, UCLA affiliates can download DynaMed onto their PDA.

    Hello,

I was able to find the DynaMed link on the Biomedical Library website, and am also trying to install the native application on my iPhone. However, in order to install the application, a DynaMed serial number is required before I can proceed. Is there a serial number available for us to use?

    Thanks!

    Hi Emily,

Thank you very much for your comment. To receive a serial number, send an email to DynaMed Support (dynamedsupport@epnet.com) from your ucla.edu email address (if you do not have an “@ucla.edu” address, you can also use other UCLA email addresses like “@mednet.ucla.edu” or “@sonnet.ucla.edu”).

They will send you a serial number; then you can follow the instructions online (http://www.ebscohost.com/dynamed/technical.php) for installing the program.
