As you celebrate National Public Health Week (April 7-14, 2008) expand your literature searches by using Global Health. Global Health provides citations to articles, books, and conference proceedings on public health research and practice. In addition to its scholarly coverage, Global Health also indexes “grey literature”—newsletters, field notes, bulletins, and other informal materials that researchers in the field use to communicate. Global Health indexes a variety of non-English-language journals, but all materials include English abstracts. Topics covered include nutrition and food safety, bacterial, viral, and zoonotic diseases, parasitology, and reproductive health. The truly global nature of this resource will provide you with unique citations that are not included in any other database at UCLA.
