Check out the latest contribution from the UCLA blogger in the Archinect School Blogs: it’s a Review of a SCI-Arc Review.
The Arts Library has arranged for a one week trial of the Materials ConneXion database of new and innovative building materials. Anyone on the UCLA campus can access the database by going directly to the login page using this link:
Students and faculty can access the Materials ConneXion database from off campus by creating a free Personal Account. A Personal Account can also be used on campus and offers certain benefits and advanced features. For instance, students and faculty can save materials they have researched by “tagging” them. Use this link to create a personal account. A valid school email address must be used as a username.
I’d recommend using the “Advanced Search” to explore new materials in Material ConneXion’s improved interface.
Access to the database will be fairly costly, so I’d like your feedback as to whether you think it a valuable addition to our collection. If I don’t receive any feedback, I’ll assume you’re not interested and will not purchase access. Please let me know what you think!
